The Voice Overs On Demand Podcast Story

For those of you that don't know, I co-host a voice over related podcast called Voice Overs On Demand with a fabulous male talent named Terry Daniel. We started the first episode in September of '07 last year, with a little prompting from Terry since, to be honest, I didn't quite understand what a podcast was! But it sounded like fun, and Terry has a great radio background so he led the show, and I played "sidekick". Turns out we had a great chemistry from the beginning, and we did a few shows on our own talking about getting into voice overs, geared mostly towards new voice talent and people interested in getting involved in the voice industry. Then, Terry was talking with John Florian from VoiceoverXtra.com, a GREAT hub for the VO world with all kinds of goodies from tech talk to getting an voice over agent. Terry had an idea to have John on as a guest and things just took off from there! People started asking US if we would have them on the show, and we happily obliged since our download numbers were growing by leaps and bounds with every guest. A voice actor and attorney that Terry knew named Rob Sciglimpaglia, offered to do sort of an "entertainment minute" for the end of each show, so we added that as a feature after the interview portion. The "entertainment minute" eventually turned into "The Legal Minute" since that was really Rob's expertise.

So since then, we've had SO many AWESOME guests. Erik Sheppard from SAVOA, David Ciccarelli from Voices.com, Voice talents Bobbin Beam, Joan Baker, Liz DeNesnera, Rodney Saulsberry, Julie Williams, David Houston, James Alburger, Penny Abshire, Connie Terwilliger, NYC agent Phil Cassese, Ben Werlin from Such A Voice company, Rick Party, (Voice talent and creator of VoiceoverUniverse.com) AND the voice of Fox, Food Network, NBC, the Emmy's the Grammy's and more..........Joe Cipriano! Famous movie trailer voice, Don LaFontaine has also agreed to come on with us, we're just trying to get the timing right.

21 Episodes and counting! It's been a wild ride and who knows what's in store next? But that's the VOD story in a rather large nutshell. :) Our latest episode features many coaches, presenters, and attendees of Voice 2008 in Beverly Hills where Terry and I attended August 8-11 and set up a recording station at VoiceoverXtra.com's booth in the exhibitor's center. But that's another blog story/post in itself.

If you're interested in checking out our Voiceovers On Demand podcast, just Google Voice Overs On Demand, Terry and Trish, or look for us in ITunes and several other podcast sites, most times we come up after a simple search for "voice" on these sites.

Join us in the voice over fun!
